Karina Ioffee is a reporter living in the San Francisco Bay Area whose work has appeared in Reuters, the New York Daily News, the Associated Press and Huffington Post, among others.

Karina began her career in Tucson, Arizona, as a reporter for the Arizona Daily Star. She later was a staff reporter for The (Stockton) Record in California’s Central Valley, where she wrote about crime, gangs, immigration and farm workers. She has also worked as a freelancer in Cuba, Mexico and Spain.

In 2010, Karina won an Overseas Press Club award for reporting from Russia and the Wiegold Award for Business Journalism from City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism. She has also won numerous awards from the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club.
